Fox Thermal Mass Flow Meters Can Help You…

Accurately report emissions data

All Fox Thermal flow meters have excellent accuracy specifications at both high and low flows – exceeding EPA accuracy requirements of flow measurement devices.

Directly measure flow rate in mass units

Fox Thermal flow meters deliver a direct reading of mass flow rate of natural gas, methane, and other gases – without the need for temperature or pressure compensation.

Meet environmental monitoring equipment regulations

Models available with a non-resetting totalizer and long-term data logger with a 7-year history, which is helpful for applications affected by BLM 3175 and API 14.10.

More About Environmental Monitoring

As countries around the world take steps to become carbon neutral by the year 2050, industries face increasing regulations by local, state, and federal entities to monitor greenhouse gas emissions from their facilities. In addition, environmental monitoring includes tracking air pollution emissions from industrial processes that can harm human health, such as SO2 and NOx.

Exact requirements for monitoring environmental conditions will vary by location, type of industry, and source of emissions. For example, flare gas monitoring in the Oil & Gas industry regulations covered under the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s 40 CFR Part 98 Subpart W and 40 CFR Part 60 Subpart OOOO (Quad O).

For other industries, thermal mass gas flow meters help collect the environmental monitoring data needed to record, verify, and monetize greenhouse gas emission reduction.

Selecting a Mass Flow Meter for your Environmental Monitoring System

All Fox Thermal mass flow meters can be used for environmental monitoring. Each model has a range of features and specifications and, depending on the customer’s needs, can be configured according to the process conditions and requirements.

Several factors may affect the model choice: approvals, power input requirements, communication protocols, types of gases to be measured, available straight run in the pipe, line sizes, and pressure ratings, to name a few.

The Help Me Choose online tool (below) can narrow down the choices to determine the right flow meter model. Then enter the process conditions for the application to get the correct model configuration.
