FOX understands that for a variety of common gas monitoring applications, customers need to get an easily configurable meter quickly. FOX is offering the Model FT1 as an advanced meter that can be easily configured in the field - including calibration choices.
The Gas-SelectX® firmware can be easily accessed and configured from either the meter’s display buttons or by using a free software tool - FT1 View™ - available for use on a laptop or PC and connected via a USB port on the FT1.
To ensure the measurement accuracy of thermal flow meters, the thermal conductivity and other thermodynamic properties of the gas/gas mixture being measured must be considered. The Gas-SelectX® feature in Fox Thermal Instruments’ flow meters contain the algorithms necessary to calculate the adjustments to the flow meters’ calibration based on the gases or gas mixtures selected by the customer.
