Fox Releases New VortiFox Flow Meter Series!

Fox Thermal is happy to announce the launch of the VortiFox Series Model VF3 Insertion and Model VF4 Inline Vortex Shedding Flow Meters, ideal for serving the oil & gas and industrial process markets.

The VortiFox Series is a high-end vortex flow meter, and it features a robust design with FM, FMc, ATEX, and IECEx approvals.

As part of Fox Thermal’s mission to Make Downtime a Thing of the Past, the VortiFox offers an advanced multivariable transmitter. In one instrument and one process connection, the VortiFox measures multiple process parameters simultaneously: mass flow rate, volumetric flow rate, temperature, pressure, fluid density, and energy (BTU). This gives you a lower cost per measurement — all in one high-performance device.

Highlights of the VortiFox series include:

• Measurement of gas, liquids, and steam
• Insertion configurations for pipe sizes greater than 2-inch with hot-tap options
• Inline configurations for ½-inch to 12-inch pipe sizes
• Field-configurable ranges, alarms, outputs, and displays
• Rangeability up to 100:1
• Temperature up to 750°F (400°C)
• Pressure up to 1,500 psia (100 bara)

The VortiFox VF3 insertion vortex flow meter is notable because it offers both removable and permanent retractor options. The hot-tap option allows installation and maintenance without having to shut down the process.

VortiFox also allows end users to monitor performance with ease using the PoE (Power over Ethernet) option resulting in lower overall infrastructure and installation costs.

The VortiFox is ideal for high-pressure gas, steam, and liquid flow measurement in oil & gas and industrial applications. Typical applications include:

• Produced or injection steam
• District heat distribution
• Process heating or heat tracing
